Sometimes I have a good morning routine. Other times I hit snooze, make banana pancakes, and spend the morning scrolling for too long 🫣 ⁠
⁠
Tell me I'm not alone in this?!⁠

Honestly, I think it's exactly this that keeps EHM successful. My days don't always look the same and I give myself a break when I'm feeling lazy or like I want to get outside for a long walk. But I also get to work when it's needed.⁠
⁠
I think the freedom to choose how my days will go is the best thing I've gotten from owning my own business.⁠
⁠
So if you too love lazy mornings sometimes and know you'll never have a 3 months streak of 5 am wakeups, don't sweat it. I'm not there either and things are working out pretty well for me so far. But do let me know in the comments what your favorite things to do on a lazy day are, I'd love to know.⁠

But one thing you 100% should not be leaving to the last minute (or even the last few weeks) is your ad strategy for your course launch.

If you’re planning on running ads for your online course, you should treat it like dressing for the Oscars, prepping months in advance.

And when I say prepping I mean...

✔️ Know what your audience wants, needs, & how you’re going to provide that for them. Use that information to drive the message in your ads
✔️ Actually build your visuals & copy and leave enough time to get a team member or colleague to review them
✔️ Ensure your entire marketing ecosystem is ready to go from your organic content, webinar software, email follow ups, landing pages, purchase buttons and more!
✔️ Build your campaign strategy (or hire someone **hint, hint** to build it for you + run your ads). 

Well-built, strategic campaigns don’t happen overnight... even if you’re using a proven formula (like ours), there’s a number of pieces to the puzzle that are custom to your business & product. 

Most of our campaigns take about 13 business days to build and that’s with a full team of experts behind you. DIY’ing it?? That takes even longer.

Give yourself time and make sure you’ve covered everything you need well in advance.

Don't get me wrong, it's not always sunshine and rainbows but the good FAR outweighs the bad when it comes to building and growing an online business. ⁠

I'd had a few moments when I wondered if I'd ever go back to the corporate world, but honestly, I don't think I ever could. I haven't used an alarm clock in years, I can take days off because I have period cramps, and my co-workers are the absolute best.⁠

I remember back when I first started my corporate I remember back when I first started my corporate job, my best friend & I would talk about our goal of becoming CCO of a company.⁠

Chief Chill Officer.⁠

Aka our job would be to chill & make sure everyone at the company did the same.⁠
⁠
It was a joke back then. But now I actually feel like it’s becoming my job.⁠
⁠
Or is it just a new era where we realize we DESERVE to chill (while still doing amazing work & getting paid well.)⁠
⁠
Don’t get me wrong, there are some days when I am NOT chilling.⁠
⁠
But I spent last August & September at home in the US, for my wedding, and I barely even worked.⁠
⁠
The systems my team & I have spent years putting into place are working.⁠
⁠
They’re allowing me to live that freedom I’ve been craving for years, building a culture where the team can create the roles that make them the happiest — while at the same time serving our customers well!⁠
⁠
And it’s almost like, is this real?⁠
⁠
Part of me doesn’t want to share this because when I was in the thick of the early days of business, things felt so-not-chill. I thought it would NEVER happen for me.⁠
⁠
But it was only because I had no idea how they actually got to where they were.⁠
⁠
Everyone was teaching an “exact strategy”…⁠
⁠
It was annoying because maybe I don’t like the specifics of what they did… but you can only find out what it was after investing a couple thousand in their course.⁠
⁠
What I really needed was a bigger picture of the systems I had to put into place so that my business could run without me & my team could feel at ease.⁠
⁠
And I needed the foundational concepts so I could figure out what would work for my personality, our culture & what we could toss because we totally didn’t want to do it the way ‘they’ did.⁠
⁠
No one taught me that unfortunately.⁠
⁠
But eventually I figured it out with the support of my team.⁠
⁠

I hate the concept of a sales funnel. ⁠

It was invented in 1898 & hasn’t changed much since.⁠
⁠
Plus, it’s not how it works in today’s online business world. ⁠

Making a sale isn’t always linear.⁠

It’s a combination of different, individual things that work together (just like an ecosystem!) to bring your potential customers from awareness to action.⁠

You can’t expect to use only ONE strategy to reach your audience &/or warm them up.⁠
⁠
Think about the ways we communicate and digest information on any given day…⁠
🔹 You facetime your mom on your morning walk⁠
🔹 Listen to a podcast while you make a smoothie⁠
🔹 Watch a Youtube video while you get ready ⁠
🔹 Whatsapp your friend abroad⁠
🔹 Email your team⁠
🔹 Scroll IG when you should be recording a video for your course⁠
​​🔹 Read a blog post someone shared on Facebook⁠
🔹 And the list goes on…⁠

People are everywhere. And as a business you can’t be everywhere, but you also can’t be in just one place. ⁠
⁠
(Yes, I’m talking to all those other businesses trying to sell you the “ONE” platform strategy that’ll get you exactly where you want to go…IG DMs, Youtube!, SEO, Emails. Yes, they’re all good, but you need to know how to make them work together to really achieve consistent sales for your online course biz)⁠

I call it a marketing ecosystem. It’ll allow your people to find you so you can deliver them value where they’re at. ⁠
⁠
With a strategy like this, when your audience is ready to invest, you will be top of mind and they’ll be confident you’re the right business to invest in.⁠

And as an online business owner that wants to scale, you have the ability to reach a massive amount of people with your products. ⁠
